About
Deputy Director in the Management System Certification (MSC) Wing at the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI), I work at the intersection of conformity assessment, accreditation, and organizational performance. I lead and participate in audits aligned with ISO/IEC 17021 and ISO/IEC 17065, and I coordinate with national and international accreditation bodies to strengthen certification quality and continual improvement. Alongside my public-sector role, I contribute to academia as a guest lecturer in Management Studies, connecting field insights from audits and accreditation to teaching and mentoring.
My training portfolio centres on Management System standards and auditor development. I design and deliver courses on ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), and ISO 27001 (ISMS), with emphasis on risk-based thinking, process performance indicators, and evidence-driven nonconformity management. I have completed lead auditor trainings (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and specialised programmes in assessor competence for certification bodies, integrated management systems, and auditor skills development (including DNV and Bureau Veritas). This dual track trainer and practitioner helps translate standards into practical, measurable outcomes for diverse organisations across manufacturing, services, and the public sector.
My research focuses on Human Resource Management, specifically how talent-management practices activate the Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) pathway to improve employee job performance. I am also interested in sustainable organizational practices and green behavior at work; prior studies include an investigation of organizational factors shaping employee green behavior in the leather industry. Ongoing projects bridge HRM theory with certification practice, exploring how management systems, leadership, and appraisal processes align with AMO-enhancing HRM bundles.
Academic background includes a PhD in progress (Management Studies), an MPhil in Management, an MBA in HRM, and a BSc in Computer Science & Engineering. Across roles as auditor, trainer, and researcher. I aim to integrate rigorous empirical methods with standards-based practice to support capability building, responsible compliance, and sustained performance improvement. I welcome collaboration on HRM AMO modeling, management system maturity, audit pedagogy, and research translating certification insights into organizational outcomes.
